A couple years ago I bought a 1973 M15 from my LGS for 350 bucks. It was in LNIB condition and didnt even have a turn mark on the cylinder.

Im picking up a 1975 M15 snubby from my brother in law today. The M15 is really an all time great.

Around these parts the LGS's think that a used Smith with wood, and blue, is worth it's wieght in gold. Also, if S&W, can squeez the lock into a J frame, certainly they can do it with a K frame.
S&W had to change the frame on the J, K, & L frames to fit the lock. On the lock guns frame under the hammer and above the grip has a different curve to it than a pre-lock version of the same frame. The N was the only one that didn't not have to make a change in this angle to allow the lock fit.
