funky Mossberg prices - help!

[G-River Guide]

After much research, I’m looking at a 500 to serve multiple purposes. I’m not going to buy multiple shotguns so I’m looking at getting an 18.5” barrel for HD and a 28” barrel for shooting clays. Here are 2 options:

1) 500 field w/ 28” barrel and add the 18 incher for $419.58 list (56420 & 90015)

2) 500 persuader/Cruiser and add the 28 incher for $551.17 list (50452 & 90130)

So other than the pistol grip (which doesn’t interest me anyway) what am I getting with option 2 for the extra $131? I don’t get it. Thanks.

Big 5 has the 28 inch and 18 inch combo for $249.

"List" prices are always unusually high. Nobody sells at list (and stays in business) and nobody pays list.

If those are their in store prices, wait 6 months and attend their going out of business sale, prices should be better.
