FYI: Savage / Shilen Barrel

If anyone is looking for a 'drop in' Shilen barrel for a Savage action. Northland Shooters Supply has them and has them for cheap.

I called Shilen this morning to order a barrel; they told me it was 5 to 7 months out (WTCrap)! Midway only had one and it was not what I was looking for. Northland Shooters Supply has a ton of them in stock. I paid $339 for the 'select match'; the same barrel that Shilen wants $450 for, if they had them.

Just thought I would pass this along.

Yep been there, they also got CBI barrels from Criterion Barrels which is division of Krieger Barrels and McGowen Barrels.

I have a Shilen and McGowen from NSS...both barrels are awesome.
