Today, I successfully installed a tapco double hook G-2 trigger group with Red Star retaining plate in one of my AKs. Hooray for me!
Now the bad news... the bolt hangs up on the hammer (I know all AKs do this, but the bolt doesn't go forward without some serious pushing). Also, the trigger locks back (on the sear?) and needs to be pressed forward to release the hammer. Here friends, are my question(s).
I need to polish the back of the hammer, right? How do I fix the problem with the sear? Do I polish it too? Anyone have any pics as to how I might do this? The Romanian AK-faq place is great, but not quite as detailed as I would like for the polishing.
I couldn't possibly have installed the sear wrong, could I? It only goes in one way, right? sear spring down into that little detent on the the trigger, line holes up, trigger axis pin through both... right?
