If I load a "barney" round in my G37 and then put a full magazine(10rnds) in the gun. It will fire and cycle but not feed the first round in the magazine. However, If I dont load up the "barney" and just put a full magazine (10rnds) in the gun. It will fire and cycle with no issues. I cannot figure out what is causing this. I suspicion is that the magazine is so tight with the 10 rounds that when the gun fires the "barney" round and the slide cycles it cannot push the next round into the chamber.

What do you guys think??

Any help is greatly appreciated,

Nick

The term "barney round" is used alot in IDPA. It represents the one in the chamber. So, the gun is loaded to full capacity 10 + 1.

"Broken in" is fairly relative. The gun and mags have had over a 1k rounds through them. Not sure if one would consider that "broken in" or not.

Strip the top round off the mag, drop the mag, put another round back in the mag,and you are good to go,after seating your mag back in the weapon.
I found this to work better.

That is exactly what I am doing. After firing the one in the chamber the gun will not strip the 10th round in the fully charged mag.

what ammo was it? it could happen with underpowered ammo. I personally never had a problem doing +1 in chamber in all my handguns, including brand new extra stiff glock mags.
