Galco Jackass or Classic rig

Anyone have experience with the Galco Jackass or Miami Classic shoulder rigs? Can only wear a hip holster so long without discomfort due to boney body type and some injuries. Have an Uncle Mikes sidekick w/out mag pouch and it works okay with occassional adjusting from being unbalanced. Hear the Jackass is very comfortable to wear for long periods. Also, anyone have a rig they no longer use? l carry a Glock 23, 27. Also have Sig 220 and 239/40cal but they stay home. Thanks in advance, Joe

Had the Miami Classic for about 10 years. It also had the double mag carry and handcuff case as well. Liked the tie downs. Expensive and was about to re-coup 75% of its cost when I sold it.

Yes, used one years ago, (kicking myself for 14 years for selling it), with a steel frame full size Witness and twin offside mag pouch. By FAR the most comfortable shoulder rig I ever used. That was back when they made "large frame auto" versions, not specific to gun make or model...right after Jackass became Galco.
Know why they call it a "shoulder holster"? Because "armpit holster" just doesn't sound right...

I use one for my full-size 1911, and I wouldn't want anything else. But realize that the straps are thin, Galco makes models with wider straps if you look at their web site. I suppose they might spread the weight a little for a heavy gun.

thanks, ordered the miami classic ll last nite. Your right the straps on the classic ll are wider than the origional for more comfort. Amazon for $143.00 free shipping.

just got the miami classic about a month ago and i love it dbl mag carrier
but this texas and hot but when it cools off i will wear it every chance i get
