First, I would like to thank all who provided suggestions for gun shops between Northern Virginia and Raleigh, NC. I had some time during a business trip to visit a few and all were great with the exception of one (which nobody recommended and should've been a warning to me): Gander Mountain in Winchester, VA.
Usually, Gander Mountains are staffed with quality employees, but this one was overrun with rude and unfriendly workers, with the exception of the cashier. I was dressed in a suit, but I might as well have been wearing a trash bag with smeared feces all over me. I spent most of my time in the shotgun section (looking for deals on a 20 gauge) and every request for help was met with a dismissive grunt (kind of like my teenage son when I ask him to mow the yard). I finally got tired of the whole routine and left after 45 minutes.
Anyway, save your time if you're in the area and shop somewhere else. This Gander is for the birds...
