Had my eyes on a really good condition KP89 at a local pawn shop, but they just did not want to deal on it at all. So...I dropped by Gander mountain since the guys there said they get used guns in from time to time. Looked in the case, and to my suprise was a nice looking KP944 staring back at me. Had $373 on the tag. When I got a good look at it,I saw that it had a set of Meprolight Tru-Dot-sights and a Hogue grip on it. Field stripped it right there on the counter and took a good look at the internals to see how much wear it had-not bad really,it's in excellent condition. Managed to negotiate the price down to $348. It's also got a pair of 10 round magazines and the original case with paperwork, and the paperwork on the sights too. Looks like I found a better deal than the KP89.....

Fair price but I got rid of my 2 example due to poor accuracy and triggers. Both were totally reliable though.

Great gun for the money. I got mine NIB for 399 a few years ago. It has been 100% reliable and very accurate. The DA trigger isn't so great but that's about the only weak point I can find. SA isn't bad and it feeds everything, and has great chamber support (and thick walls).

How'd you negotiate the price down? When I bought my Firestar there, they said their used gun prices were fixed.

Congrats on your purchase. I really like my P-944T. Good Chamber support & it is more accurate than I am

Just asked the sales guy if he had any flexibility on the pricing on the used guns.

I had a 93 (9mm DAO model) and liked it quite a bit.. Wish I hadn't traded it off..

I don't remember it being particularly IN-accurate - though I wasn't a good enough shot at the time to be a definitive judge - it was certainly good enough for defensive carry. The only complaint I had about it was that it was a bit bulky and, being all metal, somewhat heavy.
