With the current ammo shortage I have been on the hunt for 9mm ammo. I called Gander Mt today, Thursday, which is the day they get their shipment. They told me they had 9mm ammo. I was happy to hear that. Unfortunately they told me they were selling Blazer 9mm for $20 per box. I just bought 2 boxes of Blazer brass 9mm last Thursday for $15 per box. Very expensive for 9mm, but at least I could reload the brass casings. Now they want $20 for the cheapest aluminum cased load that can't be reloaded? Doesn't make sense to me. I understand supply and demand, but this is simply a company abusing their loyal customers. I am discusted. They will not get any more of my hard earned dollars. I have spent a rediculous amount of money at Gander, but those days are over. I told them they could keep the ammo for that price.

another thread about the nature of supply and demand and commodity pricing?

This "ammo dealers are thieves and cheats" notion is getting more popular than "what caliber for bear" or "what gun for my girlfriend".

A couple weeks ago, my area Gander Mountain got in Sellier & Bellot 115 gr., FMJ, 9mm and was selling it at $24.99 per box of 50. You can beat that price all day long at Cabela's by ordering just one box for $12.99 and paying $5.95 shipping.

Last time I checked, my GM lowered the price to $19.99 plus 8% sales tax; I can still beat that price at Cabela's.

I no longer buy ammo at GM.

The handgun prices at GM are too high also.
