I just took the B-Square scope mount off of my Garand. It worked fine, I just find I prefer iron sights on it. My question is...How do I reset the sights? Should I bottom out the peep sight or leave it up some? I also noticed that the peep sight not centered and slightly lopsided. I would like to keep it as stock as possible but I want it to be accurate. I have hit a 20 inch metal plate at 400 yards so I know its pretty darn near on. But now that I have put on the iron sights I would like to mechanical zero it befor I go to the range. Any suggestions?

Huh? Is the aperture itself not round, or is it simply not centered?

If the aperture is deformed, just replace it. If not, then you need to bring the rifle out to the range.

I'd simply click it all the way down, center it, and start shooting at 25 yds. to see where it's printing. Then go from there.

Mech zero on elevation is all the way down. Most will then come up about 8-10 clicks to get to a 200 yard zero.

For windage mech zero, do a search for "Mechanical zero" and cross reference my name. You'll read there how to do it.
