SIG 522 iron sights

My understanding is that the once iron sightless 522 now comes with iron sights. I assume that the front sight is the standard 556 sight, but am wondering what type of sight is on the rear. I just ordered a front and rear iron sight set where the front sight is the SIG 556 type and the rear looks to be identical to a Williams peep sight, or is actually made by Williams. At $70 for the pair shooting iron sights on the 522 seems to be now economically feasible.

Does anyone know what iron sights SIG is putting on the most recent rifles?

Very nice. I wanted a Sig 522 but backed off because no Iron sights.

I do not want any power optics at all. When the end of the world comes their will be no power. Iron sights is the only way to go.

I am now into the Urarex/Colt M16 22. It has a 20 in barrel, and comes with a nice 30 round mag. The sig can not match the accuracy, or the capacity.

I am thinking of getting one to compliment my 556.

My wife and I each have one (SIG 522), IMHO best feature is its reliable with the cheap Federal bulk pack from Walmart. Great fun! We don't miss the iron sights. She has a 3x9 scope, I have a Red Dot on mine.
