Garand: On the way!

There are no matching numbers on a Garand. Only serial number on the recievr and drawing numbers on the rest of the parts
 
One of the best purchases of your lifetime. Congrats! Just a few odds and ends from a Garand owner here. First off, you can shoot the Garand all day, and I often do. It's just a pure pleasure to shoot, and you can feel the history of the rifle every time you pull the trigger. Next, consider slowly collecting spare parts such as the main spring, op rod, bullet guide, etc. Finally, consider ordering some Lubriplate 130 A grease to use exclusively in the lubrication of your Garand. You can get a can at Brownells. Keeps mine running like a champ! Enjoy!
