Giving your gun a "do" is kind of like getting a whole new gun, isn't it? But without really modifying it or even spending much on it. Here's the before and after results of my Taurus 992 Tracker, as it was the subject of my boredom-relief project the last couple days:

Feel free to post before and after pics your gun makeovers. Appearance redos only, no functional upgrades, please!!

wiscoaster: Very nice.

Wanted to possibly give my very worn Sig P6 (too much harsh slide wear in a German federal agent's holster) the Cerakote process, which a buddy does in a professional manner.
But even with the P6 slide held in a large vice, couldn't get the weird Sig double roll pin to budge even a millimeter, using my tiny punches.

Very very nice "do" there, indeed, Wiscoaster.

My 'do overs' usually involve Rustolium flat brick red or black over the gun blue. 2, maybe 3 layers.

Salt air, salt water and cold temp condensation are the rule for that measure.

Nice "redo" on your Taurus Tracker!

No "Before" shot but the "After" look, along with some time spent with Mother's Mag Polish on my S&W Model 649. Definitely brought a very nice shine to it's otherwise plain stainless steel appearance!

Bannockburn --- very nice!! I have to get out the Mother's and apply again with more elbow grease.

But ... I suspect you're most likely working with better quality steel, too.

Been a while since I did this one. 3-inch GP100 in .357 Mag from which I removed the Ruger billboard on the side of the barrel and gave a high-gloss polish.

Hmmm. Looking at it again, I think it needs a new front sight, like the Meprolight night sight I put on my SP101.
