Name your guns in pieces in boxes and baggies

I don’t have any in pieces, but I have several that need to be tinkered with...

A Weatherby Mk V .300 that needs a new scope. (I have the scope, rings and mounts I just don’t have the desire to tinker with it now.)
A Win Model 70 7mm Rem Mag that needs a new stock because the one on it is crap.
Two 12 Ga Remington shotguns my Dad gave me (Sportsman 58 and an 1100) that both have bulged barrels near the muzzle.
Several other shotguns in the safe I’d like to be fitted to me a bit better after new recoil pads are installed. Same goes for my 1895 Marlin .45/70’s.

I do have one S&W Model 48-3 .22 WMR that’s inoperable, it’s been languishing back in Springfield awaiting their attention since June. :(

Stay safe..

A TC, not for any real reason - put the grips and barrel on - done. A S&W Bodyguard, field stripped - will clean it some day. A pair of 1100’s with the intend of replacing the extractors and o rings.....

Nothing down to, “I cannot put it back together”. Nothing really beyond field stripped. Just too lazy to do anything about it, yet.

None at the moment, but I had a Broomhandle Bolo that I knew every millimeter of. Oddly, considering it’s one of the oldest semi-autos, it’s also probably the easiest to completely disassemble and reassemble.

Have an H&R something in .22 mag that I replaced a hammer on, but one of the pins broke in half (warped and corroded).

Been meaning to find a replacement, a few new springs and possibly another trigger guard and get it all put back together for a few years now.

Right now, I have - at least recall having:

• 9 AR-15 and AR-10 uppers and complete rifles in boxes with various stages of percentage procurement: 458, 6 ARC, 6.8 spc, handful of 5.56’s, another 6 creed, and a 338 Fed

• A Ruger New Vaquero Convertible 45 ACP/Colt which is to be cut down from 5.5” with a plowshare grip, longhorn spur, and standard trigger to become an ejectorless 2.5” sheriff’s Birdshead with a Bisley trigger and SBH hammer, not entirely sure when this one will be finished.

• A “Johnny Cashed” 2011 meant to become 460 Rowland for hunting and backcountry bear medicine

• A 44mag original Vaquero which started life as a 5.5” Bisley but will become a 3.5” birdshead, Bisley hammer, Bisley trigger, non-fluted

• An M77 MkII in 30-06 getting a new stock, detachable box bottom metal, and new barrel

• A Rigby bolt face CZ550 action which was originally intended to be a specialty pistol, but more likely will be built as a rifle now instead

As a rule, I seldom have issue remembering how things go back together, or recalling parts identities. If I do work on an action I don’t recognize, I take photos during disassembly and I store the parts in small divided Plano tackle boxes with parts ID’s and disassembly orders written in the compartments, plus my hand written instructions/reminders for when and how each part needs to be installed, and how I held my tongue while doing so. I try to catalog those into a word document on my computer for future reference if/when I end up repairing/upgrading that action type again.

I have a Mauser 1934 in a baggie. It is a mixmaster, and the fit is so bad, I may just part it out.

Yeah, I keep finding bags of car parts for cars I don't own anymore ....it's fun to find something and go...well, I know WHERE it goes in a car, just no idea which one it goes in....

Cleaning the garage the other day, I found the tool kits from my two 1970 Suzuki 90s I gave to my nephew about 20 years ago.
