Okay, dumb question from a Marine who should probably know better. I'm looking to get a Beretta 92FS and I live in California. Shopping around on the net, I see Beretta 92FS 15 rnd and Beretta 92FS CA legal. Now, is there really a mechanical difference between the two weapons or is it the mags that come with it? Because in my simple mind, there should be no difference between the weapons themselves, just in the magazines.

Also, would a "CA Legal" or "10 round" Beretta 92FS accept 15 round mags?

Cali legal is 10 rounds, i think.

I suspect that that the only difference in the magazine is that there is filler in the bottom- so your Beretta should be able to accept 15 and 10 rnd mags.

As far as I know (I dont know much), the only difference is the mags themselves, and yes, a "cali legal" 92 should accept "everyone else legal" 15/17/whatever round mags

It's just the mag. Keep in mind though, if CA is like MA, it's a felony to get post-ban high cap mags from out of state. I don't know how they'd prove it, but still.
