gen4 Glock 17 to Glock 34 conversion

I know that you can swap slide assemblies between a gen3 Glock 17 and a Glock 34, but does anybody know if I can make a gen4 Glock 34 by putting the slide assembly on a new gen4 Glock 17?

Also, do I have to take it to a gunsmith to get the lighter trigger after I do the swap, or could I change those parts myself, too?

Gen4 Glocks are not compatible with Gen3 Glocks.
Slide/frame internal dimensions are different.

Why not get a Glock 34Gen4?

I asked at a gun shop last week and was told they were going to do all the 45 ACPs before they got to the 34 since very few 34s were sold.
