Even starting from scratch with a new Remington action and building up from there I don't think you'd get anywhere near what they're asking for that.

Unfortunatey for the rest of us, some wag will buy it because they don't want to wait and/or go to all the trouble of getting the pieces parts together.

I'm not running out to buy it.

However, when you consider how much more M1 snipers cost over an M1 I don't think it's too out of line. It's the real deal, put together by the custom shop with all the bells and whistles.

They are a very sweet system, but no, not worth that much cash to me either.

You can buy a LOADED Accuracy International 338, just as shipped to the UK Armed Services for $6,000.00. Guess which I'd rather have?

It's what it is. Hard to find a real M24 for less.

You can build a clone for 1/3rd the money, easy.

Or you can buy an AI AWP or even AWM in .338 Lapua, for about the same with a Nightforce or US Optics.

Yep, I'd go through Iron Brigade Armory too if I wanted a rifle. That's a lot of ducats to drop on one rifle. Now, if it was a collector's gun like something handmade by John Moses, $7k easily. But I would have to leave it at the National Firearms Museum since my home isn't worthy of such an item.

Ouch. The rifle is pretty, but I don't think I spent that much on a McMillan MCRT with a Premier Reticles modified Leupold Mk IV scope!
