1. In general, who has it better, Florida residents or Georgia residents when it comes to gun laws?

2. I realize that Ga has open carry...but...if I strictly concealed carry...who has better laws?

3. If I chose not to get a permit...who has better "gun possession" laws.

4. Is this also true for the "aftermath of a defensive shooting". If I had to shoot in a defensive scenario, which state would provide more rights for the victim (that would be me...)?

Each state has its advantages. Overall, I think the permitting process is easier in Georgia, but Florida lets you carry to more places.

In Georgia, you do not have to go to a course to get your CCW... just a trip to the probate judge and sheriff office is all it takes.

But also in Georgia, you can't carry to a public gathering. Problem with that is, no one knows what a public gathering is, even our Attorney General. A couple of years ago the police in an Atlanta suburb decided that Wal Mart was a public gathering, and arrested a guy for carrying there.
