I bought a new SR-9 when they came out and of course it is one of those being recalled for retrofit of the trigger mechanism... but it's been over a month since I registered with them for recall, and I haven't heard a word from Ruger about when they're scheduling the guns to be repaired or received any mailing containers, etc.
They were only having to retrofit 3 months production of the guns, and unless they're just doing it when they feel like it or when parts are available, they should be making at least some effort to correct this faux pas by keeping the affected customers in the loop about when things are going on. My new gun is sitting in the closet waiting on them, where it's been for the past two months.
I know they have a lot of work to do in this endeavor, but a little schedule information would be helpful. I know several others who also bought them, and they have heard nothing other than the recall notice. I'm not going to start calling and sending emails to them, but you'd think that if they screwed up like this, they'd want to get it fixed asap. None of the gunshops where I trade, and none of the other SR-9 owners I know are seeing any movement.
Anybody got any current info other than their recall notices? They give you the information that they're sending you a mailing label and a box, but there's nothing showing what the schedule is for the repair list... or are they repairing the gun dealer's guns first and letting the customers sit in the tank until they get their stock cleaned up?
