I've decided to pick up an FN FNP-45. I'm also going to send it to Mag-na-port. I didn't realize that you could Mag-na-port through to the barrel through the slide. I've had several guns Mag-na-ported in the past but they were revolvers.

The beauty of this, besides the Mag-na-porting itself, is that all I have to do is ship the barrel and slide. That bypasses the overnight extortion fee required when you have to send the entire gun.

On standard velocity 230 grain FMJ's I'm likely not to see much difference after being Mag-na-ported. However, with 185 grain +P, I'm pretty sure the Mag-na-porting will be noticeable.

To those of you that don't believe that Mag-na-porting does anything, I can assure that it absolutely does. My friend and I have two identical Colt Python 357 mags. I got mine Mag-na-ported first and we were able to compare them side by side. The difference was crazy different...huge.

I know that a high pressure 357 mag revolver will show more results than a lower pressure (even +P 45) automatic but it's relatively inexpensive, especially considering the huge reduction in shipping costs!
