Does anyone know where I could find a 1915 or earlier Gewehr 98 stripped receiver? I've tried GPC, Sarco, Springfield Sporters, etc. I've posted WTB ads on all major military surplus related forums with no luck.
Does anyone have any thoughts where I could find one? I'm getting desperate, I mean, just picture these poor guys:
29.1" Gew barrel with Lange Visier sight, nice bore
Nice walnut stock and handguard
Beautiful Imperial marked bolt
All needing something to hold it all together....
Yes, I've been on the lookout for a "sporter" that hasn't been defaced or drilled and tapped too.
