A much better approach IMHO would be just to buy the 500 with factory GRs in place - I can almost guarantee that would save money in the long run over buying a set of sights and having them properly installed by a 'smith. The front sight really needs to be silver soldered in place, and then the barrel will have to be re-blued afterward.
