Wow, thats some rabbit!!!!!!!!!!

OneShooter and to others that would consider an Semi-Auto

20 or more years ago in the Uk, you could use an AR180 or a similar weapon of that category, but nowdays we in this most-unpleasant land are restricted to .22 WMR-as the highest calibre we are allowed to own- in a semi or pump-action format.Personally I would use the following guns,to despatch giant rabbits with-in the UK-and these are still 100% legal:

Any pistol-calibre Marlin Lever-Action rifle

A Ruger M77 17HMR

A Ruger 10/22 or a Remington 597 in either .22LR or .22WMR.

A Silenced Mossberg 12 guage pump-action

A Remington 1100 .410 or 20 guage

A Daystate high-powered Air-rifle in either .22 or .177

An Australian copy of the Enfield N04 and N05 Jungle Carbine.

I would consider also using a:

A Southern-Gun Company LA9 or LA30 lever-action. (A copy of the Colt SMG, but includes a lever-action hinged- mechanism, instead of a semi-auto action, built into the pistol-grip of the carbine) Available in the following:9mm Parabellum and .30 calibre. Both guns have a 20 and 30 roung magazine.

A Straight-Pull AR-15 M16/A1A2/M4/A1:) in 5.56mm (Purpose-built specifically for the UK market to Uk specifications.)

Would the cricket bat w/small dull knife be allowed? The knife MUST be dull to prevent the user from hurting him/herself.:D

Man...what a let down

I was scanning through new topics and saw this one and anxiously clicked to read more. Imagine my disappointment when I realized I had misread the topic header and it was giant "rabbits" and not giant "robots" terrorizing the farmers. :(

Wallace and Gromet: the Were-rabbit; the one guy had an assortment of arms including big doubles - but it takes a gold bullet to kill a were-rabbit.

In the Dark Ages (when men were made of tougher stuff) the UK was terrorized by a cow. Now a rabbit kicks ass, how far they have fallen.
At least you can see this one. Those six foot tall invisible rabbits are tough to catch.

They can use a Have-a-heart trap.If they catch it they can use a pointy stick to kill it with. Remember...rabbits breed fast. They'll never be able to catch them fast enough! :D
Mark.

Lets not underestimate quality small game hunting air rifles.
The RWS 707 9mm air rifle may be what they're using.
9mm 60 grain pellet at 867 fps with over 90 foot pounds of muzzle energy.

+1 on the Sam & Max picture. Always a wonderful example of irresponsible firearms useage. :D

Always amused me that Max had a painstakingly detail-rendered Luger, but Sam had some sort of cartoony massive magnum revolver.

This story brought back drive-in movie memories of
Night of the Lepus and Food of the Gods. Is
jolly old Hammer Films still in the horror film business?
The Hare of the Baskervilles staring Christopher Lee
and Barbara Steele .......

I was trying to think if I had ever seen jack rabbits close to that size. Maybe with the legs extended, but by weight probably not even close. But that was just on the Lady Bird Johnson Golf Course near Fredericksburg so someone else can speak up.

Does everyone else realize that the rabbit pic is a joke and obvious photoshop job? Or do some actually think it is real? :)

Just like the giant cat one that was real popular on the net a couple years ago.
