CountGlockula-Out of these 6 brands which one's hit you in the head?

Every single brand Count.

And it appears I'm not alone in my problem with Remmy91, Shell Shucker and PO2Hammer all having the same issue.

It won't be until July 21 or later that I can get back to the range, and then my best friend will be here.
I'll pay a lot more attention to the mfg and all that we talked about the next time I'm out.

Thanks guys for the great replies.

@ PO2Hammer -
If I knew what I was doing to "time" and extractor, I'd try it too.

It really sounds like an ejector problem. I was having the same problem after switching my trigger group out. Cases were hitting me in the head and occasionly the brass would get stuck in the slide causing a malfunction. I took a closer look at the ejector and realized the trigger group the guy sold me was for a .40 and not for a 9mm. Double check your ejector number - it should be 336. The .40 cal is 1882. This caused me headaches till I got it solved.

Well vacations over, and we have run another 1,500 rounds out of the 17'
and I'm pleased to announce that few - very few rounds ejected back at us.

All I can think that caused the original problem was that - to the best of my knowledge - was that the 17 had never before been fired, causing me to be hit.

I had not fired it since my first post but did perform a thorough cleaning - while waiting for my friend to show up for our vacation.

I did notice that he had a few cross his right shoulder but nothing at him or I.....

So I guess the big mystery is solved (for now) ~2,500 rounds with no FTFeed, FTFire or FTEject in a 30 day span.
