A buddy called me last night with a problem.
He bought a used Glock 17 with a LaserMax already in it.
He says he is getting failures to eject and / or stovepipes about 3 or 4 times per mag, and the slide often fails to lock open on the last shot.
O.K. the recoil spring is too stiff.
What I don't know is if it has the original LaserMax supplied recoil spring, or an after-market extra-power spring.
Anyone have this problem with the LaserMax supplied spring?
My first thought is to order a factory recoil spring assy, slide lock & spring, and return the gun to stock condition to rule out any other possible gun problem.
But he wants to keep the LaserMax in the gun.
SO, will Wolf Glock 17 springs fit the LaserMax guide rod?
Or, will a Glock spring fit the LaserMax guide rod if I clip off the Glock plastic rod & get the factory spring off one?
PS: If anyone could provide the measurements on a stock LaserMax Glock 17 spring I'd sure appreciate it!
(OAL uncompressed, number of coils, wire diameter)
