Glock 17 reliability

Every manufacturer puts out a lemon now and then. Glock lemons are pretty rare. Kimber lemons IMO are something like 1 out of 10 pistols. If your glock wont run right, there is a problem. One post mentioned a 17 in his chl class that had numerous stoppages. That could have been aftermarket mags or mags with an old follower. With #6 followers my glock is 100%. But I bought a mag from the LGS that had an old follower and it would not run right no matter what I did. Ive yet to see a glock malfunction that wasnt mag or user related. I know they are out there but Ive never seen one.

Wow, some pretty touchy folks.

"If ANY Glock doesnt work perfectly, it MUST be the users fault somehow, since all MY glocks have been perfect.

The OP's question wasn't "how many people had Glocks that never had problems?". The guns that worked fine prove nothing about the ones that didn't, and are basically irrelevant the conversation. Any mention of problems then brings out the protective instinct of a mother grizzly bear. "It's YOUR fault, it CAN'T be the gun!!!"

Sheesh.

This is my 3rd Gen Glock 17. Bought new in 2005 after I decided I'd had enough of my Ruger P345. It's nearing in on 15,000 rounds. Check my signature to see how things are going.
