Hi, I just bought a Glock 17C. My first gun was a 23 and I sold it to buy a 1911. This week the price of ammo went up 20% here in Puerto Rico so the 1911 is going to be my house gun. The price of the 9mm didn't go up so I bought the 17C so that I can go to the range more. I really liked the gun when I shot it but when I shoot I'm still waiting for the big kick. I hope that goes away.

While you'll get used to it, it will always be a soft-shooting 9 mm--even more so with the compensated barrel. By the bye, you bought a most excellent 9 mm combat handgun! Focus on accuracy...

I did the same thing in 06, bought a G17 and put my G21 at my bedside. The nine paid for itself in a year, and I do enjoy shooting it!

Treat yourself to some .45 ACP every couple of months! ;)
