I have several questions that pertain to the Glock 22 Compensated?

I have a friend who is selling one that has had exactly 500 rounds( I was with him when he bought the gun and case of UMC), he's selling it because he is an HK freak and wants to buy that new 9mm that just came out.

Anyhow, it doesn't jam and doesn't have any problems. He wants $400 even for the box and 2 magazines.

Is this a good deal or not?

Here is my other issue. I have been wanting to get a standard size glock in
.40 or .357sig, but didn't know which would be the better choice to buy the conversion bbl. They both handle the same amount of psi right? I would also like to get a 9mm conversion bbl as well how does that work out?

And what about the compensation I have never had a compensated gun and don't want to buy something that I can't shoot at night because this is a possible CCW. If I buy the conversion bbls that are not compensated then will it eliminate the burnt eyebrows I read about?

Does the compensation somehow wear out the gun prematurely?

I have this wierd thing about theoretical service lifes? Is there any idea how long this gun might last, I'm talking round counts. I know the Glock 17 can literally run forever, but the higher psi on a same size frame might compromise the life. I plan to pass all my guns to my evolved lizard descendant grand children of the 25th century.

List of present pistols to give an idea of my experience:
Glock 30
Glock 20
GP100
Single Six
CZ52
Stoeger Cougar
Smith 686
Super Redhawk 454

The Glock 30 is my current carry but sometimes I think it's just a little to thick. What do you think is this a worthy carry piece?

Thanks for your time.

That's a great deal, since "C" models are priced higher than stock ones.

I have a Lone Wolf .40S&W-9mm conversion for my G35. I get a lot of stove pipes since the ejector is made for .40S&W...but LW also mentioned that WWB 9mm is the worst to use on their barrels for lack of power.:scrutiny:

Putting in a regular stock barrel will prevent flame throwers.

A better carrying piece would be a subcompact G26/27.

Good luck with the gun!

Buy it - it's a great price. I frequently CCW a Glock 22C due to its reliability, capacity and relatively light weight.

RE: the compensation itself, some are going to say it will ruin your night vision. While that may be true for some, I've not experienced any interference since the gases escape at an angle away from the gun; they form something of a "V" pattern.

For a .40, the recoil is minimal.

I've fired thousands of round through mine and it shows no signs of giving out - I hope. I'm no authority on whether comped guns wear out more quickly than others, but I haven't had any negative wear issues with my 22C.

Hope this helps!
