Glock 23 slide rub

I was cleaning my glock after a trip to the range and noticed slight wear on frame, close to the muzzle where the slide has been rubbing .upon closer inspection I noticed the frame bends up at the end.. Is this normal on a glock ?? It has about 1200 rounds thru it. I looked at my hk uspc .40 and the frame is straight and does not come in contact with the slide. Thanks in advance

Yes it's normal, the frame doing that is often referred to as the Glock "pig nose".

Thanks, I wonder if heat from muzzle flash / or barrel heat causes this condition...

My G19 has it. I've fired around 6,000 rounds through it. It's nothing I worry about.

Are you sure it's wear and not just powder fouling? The curve in the dust cover portion of the frame is normal.

yes, definite wear.. very slight, equal on both left and right and front to back. No big deal and glad its normal. I probably go a little overboard with my cleaning .

some pignose, some aren't, all usually work fine. You can fix the pignose if you want with a hair dryer or heat gun (be careful, look it up).

Me, I'd just shoot it.
