I had posted a thread earlier where I was seriously considering chopping the grip on my Glock 19 to accept the shorter Glock 26 mags for better concealment. When it came down to it I just couldn't bring myself to put a saw to the grip and modify my 19. I happened to find a good deal on a new Glock 26 Gen3... and then proceded to modify its grip. Yep, makes no sense to me either.

I wasn't crazy about the feel of the G26 grip. My larger than average hands felt very cramped and the finger bump just didn't fit me right. So, with files, sand paper, and steel wool in hand I took my brand new G26 and went at it. I did an undercut on the trigger guard and removed the finger groove "bump". I placed some 3M "Safety Walk" tape over the stock textruing which really gives it a good grip. The pistol feels much better in my hand now. It cost basically nothing (except some anxiety and trepidation) and I think turned out pretty well. Sure gives it a much better feel.

I like it. Subtle. Looks more comfortable.

If I got a Glock 26, I'd have to take a bit of the hump off the back, too, but I think you did a good job for your liking. :)
