Would you guys get a Glock 26 or 27? I had a 26 previously and liked it a lot,but now I'm thinking why not fire a big bore round from the same size gun? I've never shot a 27 but I have shot a 23 does the 27 shoot any differently compared to the 23?

+1 for G27. I also went from G26 to G27 and the G27 shot better than the G23 and more accurate (probably the double captured spring set).

Also, you can get Lone Wolf conversion barrel to shoot 9mm out of G27. :D

My Glock 23 (.40) shoots as well as a Glock 19 (9mm). It's just as quick from target to target and during rapid fire its nearly as easy to control and has a more powerful round.

But, recoil is stout. It deosn't affect performance or your ability to defend yourself. But 100 rounds during practice is plenty for me. The gun is NOT what I would call comfortable. But it works fine.

So I'd recommend the 27 over the 26. Also worth trying a 33 (.357). I'll bet that the 33 barrel fits the 27 ( get both).

I own both the 23 and 27. The 27 is a little "snappier" than the 23, however it is very manageable. I have to admit though, I haven't ran it nearly as hard as I do my 23. As another post mentioned once I get to the 150-200 round count with my 27 I've had enough.

In the end, both are very fine firearms and I'm sure you'll be happy either way.

get a 27 so you can then get a 9mm and 357 sig barrel.. that would be the route I would take.

I own neither but want both. I recently purchased a G22 and want the 27 to pair up with. By that reasoning though, if I get a 26 I'll need a 17 or 19. I see no problem there. :D

A G27 I once owned had a little too much bark and bite for my liking. I can see myself getting a G26 as a "sometimes companion" for my G19, however. I would not have looked twice at it except that it was "pre-owned" for $299.

I vote for the 27! It is not that snappy. Get the .357 barrel as well as the 9mm barrel and have three different options. I carry a 27 everyday and love it. I do not carry anything else.
