what accessories for a gen 3 won't fit a gen 4 Glock 27? other than texture and additional backstraps it's the same pistol.

The grip plug for one. I bought for a Gen 3 and it is to big for the hole on the Gen 4. I plan on adding the extended slide release and 3.5 lb Ghost trigger bar.
My wife has a Gen 3 27 with these things and I like them.

The trigger housing is different in the Gen 4's as well so not all internal parts will be interchangeable.

Glock 27 Gen

also guide rods are different..........the grip is very rough against the skin

I have an older G27. I don't know how to tell its genre - I bought it in the mid 1990s.

I have 2 issues with my G27, I get FTF about 1 in 4 rounds when I use it with G23 13 round mags. And, I can only load 8 rounds into the factory G27 mags (this happens with several different ammo types, even after using a clamp overnight to compress the follower spring!).

Other than that its a solid shooter.

Does Gen 4 address those deficiencies?

in regards to the grip, I tried a hogue grip but it is slightly loose..........saw another thread on another site about using a bike tube....I figured what do I have to lose??????????
Gave it a shot .....I used a mountain bike tube, same grey black color as Glock. After 3 prototypes, I have a perfect fit. It is thin but strong, and easy to grasp the grip. not slippery at all...........I am going to see how it works.............with a little rubbing alcohol it went on easy and the color blended right in ( no extra backstraps installed)......................I can honestly say it is very inconspicious as a grip Amazing....i wore it in my comptac minotaur holster IWB against bare skin and it is extremely comfortable..........the RTF grip was scratching my skin and wearing into my shirts...........Was just about to regret buying this gun but this will do the trick....HIGHLY recommend it.....................I also changed the trigger to NY 1 8lbs very smooth not like factory 5.5 Sproooooong!!!!!! Glock 27 GEN 4 is a keeper...........

i have a pearce +1 installed in my back up mag...........I get 10 rounds in there....standard mag is 9........smack the bottom a little and PUSH the shells into the mag......leave them filled for a couple of nights and the springs will give.................good luck
