I know I can Call Glock but I will not have time to get in touch with them for a few days and when I can do that I am hoping i will have a few replies so that i can avoid it. Has anyone ever converted the 30 into a 29 by swapping out the barrel and mags. I have a 30 and want a 29 so that i have a 10 mm. Any advice is appreciated.

Breech face and extractor of a .45acp and 10mm are too different (.45 is basically .05" larger in diameter) so you would need to swap slides with a G29 as well.

.40S&W and 10mm use the same breech face.

A THR member, mpmarty, did it,but I don't think he was happy with the results. You might PM him and ask...

There are about a dozen G29s on Gunbroker under $550 ... so it seems to me that you could sell the G30 and buy a G29 for a lot less money/time/hassle than trying to convert it to 10mm.

"... so it seems to me that you could sell the G30 and buy a G29 for a lot less money/time/hassle than trying to convert it to 10mm." By doing this the shooter misses out on a pistol that shoots two or more calibers. I shoot my G21 with both the 45acp and 10mm barrels. Regards, Richard:D

Go over to GlockTalk and read about some of the problems people are having with the KKM 10mm conversion barrels.

Sorry but conversions sohould only start with the strongest fram.

G20 - 10mm, 357 sig 40SW

G35 - 40SW, 357 sig, 9mm

And the like.

My Glock 21 only shoots 45 ACP.

If you want built in conversions, get a SW625 or better yet, join me in the 610 club.

No conversions neede - 10mm or 40SW you choice:)
