I have shot a lot of flocks and usually at 15 yards they shoot a couple inches high. I picked up a glock 30 a few months back and it shoots great but prints 6-8" high of POA.
Is this a common problem with the 30? I may just have to order some aftermarket night sights.

I've had two Glocks that shot high. Glock factory rear sights are cheap. Just try lower rear sights until you get it right. Then if you want to change to after market sights buy sights that are the same height as those that work for your gun. New sights in the same height as stock will just give you a more expensive gun that still shoots high.

My experience with the stock sights on subcompacts dictated a half moon floating above the rear sight, horizontal edge downward of course. I ran stock sights for a long time on my 30. If I can see a full moon the shot will be high, although 6-8" sounds like the issue isn't sights alone. Switching to aftermarket sights will alleviate this if the rear sight is relieved enough.

Some of my Glocks do have a higher POI for me. On my G30SF, I went from the standard height 6.9mm rear to the next lower at 6.5mm. Currently, I've switched back to the 6.9mm height as I was hitting a bit low at a different distance and with different (weaker) ammo.
