Hi everyone!

I'm investing in a new autoloader, and I've decided to join the Glock revolution. I think I will like the sub-compact versions more, because of my small hands. Right now I'm torn between the Glock 30 and the Glock 27. I really don't know which one will be better. What do you think in your opinion? And, if you own any one of these (or both), which do you like better? Thanks in advance!

=Taylor ;)

I have a G30 and a G26. Both, though very different, are superb firearms. I think the Glock 30 is a gem, one of Glock's very best: light, reliable, durable, easy-shooting, and very accurate. Some don't like the "fat" grip; I find it comfortable, and it seems to spread the recoil. Mine has nearly three thousand rounds fired without a malf, and it's my first-responder home defense sidearm.

I have and love a G-30
I tried the 26 & 27 but I just don't like the feel of my pinky hanging in space
The G-30 with 10 round mags fills my hand nicely and is an accurate and reliable pistol
Plus its 45 ACP!

I don't think you can go wrong with one of the sub-compact Glocks, be it the 27, 30, or any of the others. I wanted a 29 myself, but when I coudn't find the itty-bitty 10mm anywhere locally, I got the next best thing... The G33 (in .357SIG).

While looking through their selection, I got to handle the G30 a little... I wanted it, but I thought it might be a little thicker than I prefer for concealed carry... it was also about $60 more than all the rest of the Glocks, for whatever reason... probably because it was their last one.

All the other sub-compacts are the same size and width, and fit my hand perfectly... all while being slim enough to carry OWB without printing, even with just a t-shirt. The pinky thing doesn't bother me - mine is for everyday CCW, not target shooting. They make mag extensions for those who have problems with the 2-fingered grip. :D

I have big muscular hands w/long fingers. The G33 fits me perfectly, extended mag or not. It fits my girlfriend just as well, who has small, thin hands. My cousin has short, fat hands with fat fingers - he owns and carries a G27. My mom loves to shoot mine, she's got itty-bitty tiny hands. The subcompact Glocks seem to fit just about everyone.

I'm not a 40 cal fan so I'd stay away from the 27...so, I'd go w/ the 30. I prefer the 45 acp and the 30 is a very nice shootable pistol :D

Here are a few pics. The G30 is the same size as the G23; just shaped a little different. So the difference in size is the same as the difference between the midsize pistol and the baby

If you'll look at this picture, you'll see there's a significant difference in the size. There have been times I carried the G27 when it would've been really awkward or uncomfortable to carry the G23 or the G30. And, yes, the G27 is accurate enough.

On the question of the G36; while I have one, I almost never carry it because it doesn't offer any real size-advantage over the G30 and it sacrifices capacity. Plus, I have found the G36 isn't really all that fun to shoot. It feels like a .40 when you shoot it. Quick and snappy.
