Came across a Glock 30 today at Gander for $399. Is being sold as used, but looks brand new as if someone bought it and decided it was too much gun. ANY reason I shouldn't snap this thing up?

Is getting a "bad" Glock even possible?

I've read a few reviews detailing some problems with the G36 not functioning properly, but that seems to be the one exception in the Glock lineup. If you feel it's a fair price, the G30 should be a good gun.

Even though I'm not a "Glock" guy, it would be narrow minded for me to say that wasn't a good buy. Glocks are tanks. I will give them credit for reliability.

Snatch it up and don't look back! The G30 is a great little 45...have mine on hip right now. :D

Sounds like a good deal...Especially @ Gander Mtn....Can't hardly go wrong with any of 'em...Mine have all been winners, including my G 36, one of my best...

Used or not buy it. My G30 has 5k+ ran threw it and it runs just as good now as the day I bought it. I love it and it doesn't really look like it has been used as much as it has.

Reading over at Glock talk, it sounds like some of the G30SFs have had some issues. I haven't experienced any of them personally, just spouting onto the internet what I've read elsewhere on the internet :) Supposedly there's a bar on the internals that you can check for wear. Might be worth checking out if it is an SF.

Thanks all for the feedback. Now just gotta wait. Seems that even with my CWP, another with the same name has taken away my ability to walk in, buy a gun and walk out.:cuss:

WOW! a decently priced used pistol at gander mountain ???

I have a Glock 30SF that I carry as a back up. It has been a great pistol and has never given me any grief. $399 is a fair price for it if it is in good shape.

Finally was able to pick it up last Sat. Upon closer inspection, this WAS a new gun that someone sold/traded back to Gander for whatever reason. Went straight to the range and fired 100+ rounds including some Corbon 45 +P (that I intend to carry regularly). Not 1 hiccup (not that I expected one). Great gun at a great price. My buddy almost hit himself in the head when he fired it for the first time as he was expecting WAY more recoil (which wasn't there). :D

I had one... too short gripped for a target gun, too thick to carry IMO..

It falls into a weird gap if you ask me... and im 6'3" 260 and i couldn't carry it comfortably.
