Glock 34 striker / firing pin

Sry for the noob question but I'd like to double-check this with other G34 owners;

Everytime I field-strip my G34, I find out the the striker / firing pin is protruding out of the breech. Then, if I move the striker /firing pin backwards, the firing pin safety clicks out.

I'd like to ask if the firing pin protruding out, is a normal function.

Yes, normal.

Because of you pulling the trigger (with nothing in the chamber of course), before removing the slide...the other two safety features have been disengaged. Therefore the firing pin safety feature has been raised and the firing pin has moved forward.
