Glock 38 opinions?

I currently own a S&W 640, and am wanting to add a semiautomatic pistol to my inventory.

Tried the Glock 23 and Springfield XD-40, and marginally favored the Glock in shooting.

I also plan to try the Glock 38, and perhaps the XD-45.

What other .45 pistols would people recommend trying out? This is for concealed carry; I like the size of the Glock compacts. Anything comparable that I should also try?

The only downside right now I can think is the 8-shot capacity of the 38 magazine, compared to the 15-shot magazine of the 23.

You are aware that the Glock shoots .45 GAP and the XD-45 is chambered in .45 ACP? They are 2 completely different cartridges.

There is nothing wrong with the .45GAP, but it will not do anything the ACP round will not do and ammo is a lot harder to find. Have you looked at the Glock 30. They hold 10 rounds and will accept the 13 round Glock 21 magazines.
