Glock .40 S&W?

My fathers g23 has been reliable from the get go, and is his favorite ccw gun. I've fired a few hundred rounds through it and very much like it (and I'm generally a revolver guy)

$250 sounds fair to me.

It would be a Glock model #23, 22, or 27, chambered in .40 S&W. That price would be very low if the gun is in any kind of shape at all. Have somebody that knows Glocks check it out and run the serial number at the local police dept., if you don't know the seller. If everything checks out, jump on it.

uglyoldpoorman, I think the OP was stating it as caliber .40 smith and wesson.

A friend of mine has a buddy from work that wants to sell what he (the work buddy) says is a Glock .40 S&W for $250. Is this a good gun and is that a good price? He claims he's never fired it or anything.

Very good price, but make sure it's really a Glock. I've seen a couple of instances when someone has used "Glock" as a generic term for autopistol.

Make sure it's not hot, too.

Sheesh...I paid $550 for my G27, but it had a variety of mods on it.

No reason to repeat what the others have said here, but I'd jump on it.

I am leary of a 250 dollar glock that hasn't been fired or anything. If It is a true glock and not a Sigma I would buy it if it was in good shape. The price is pretty low I imagine it is a second gen police trade in for that price.

Duh! I have a had a lot of smoke blown up my rectum latelyl by so called experts who will tell you anything to sell a gun. And yes, I even had a dealer try to tell me the parts from a Smith sigma would fit a glock. I am just saying buyer beware when someone offers you something for nothing.

Thanks for the advice

The best price I have found for the Glock 22s and 23s runs $489.00 here, and so $250.00 is about 52% of new price. If it is truly a Glock, unfired, and like new condition, it's close to robbery.

something sounds fishy make sure its not hot as said before. I am into mine for like $600 including extras.

A few years back a co-worker wanted to sell a SIG P226 for $300, but he got cold feet and backed out. :(

I myself have sold guns for half their worth for an immediate need, so a $250 Glock is not that farfetched.

As everyone said have it checked out, I paid $589.00 for my G27 with the night sights installed it is a great CC weapon.
