Bar Sto advertises that their barrels come with "fully supported chambers" and we all know all the chatter about "unsupported" chambers in Glocks. Here are a Glock and Bar Sto barrel side by side with a .40 cal cartridge in each. Can somebody tell me what the difference is?
The Bar Sto barrel had to be slightly fitted to the slide to work but no work on the throat or chamber was done. This is essentially as-is from the factory. The only difference is not in "support" in the 6 o'clock position but in the amount of play of the cartridge in the chamber. The bullet is noticeably "looser" in the Glock chamber than in the Bar Sto. However, there doesn't appear to be any difference in how much the case is contained by the chamber at the notorious 6 o'clock.
