ok guys and gals, need some good input. If we protest and boycott these 4 manufacturers as my post indicated along with Walmart, Kmart, where are we gonna buy our parts and ammo? What are the alternatives? Glock, S&W, ruger, colt are just about as politically correct as can be. We keep eliminating our options, we won't have any vendors. So help me out here. I'm still looking for a Glock 19c or the 40c compensated.

ok let me clarify. What I meant was the recent rant over Glock. As far as colt goes, their 3 or 4 yo decision to limit sales and productions of certain firearms to the public. S&W (owned by the British at the time) with a word for word agreement with the gov't that copied HCI proposals. Ruger with their idea of a 10 round mag limit and a crappy .223 rifle with little customer service. All the rants and venting against these and others makes me wonder where we could turn for quality, afforadable boat-anchors.

Nowhere, if you look hard enough, all gun companies have sold us out.
I just gave up on all this boycott silliness, since the entire country seems to have sold us out in food, retail, entertainment, etc.
I gotta eat and shop somewhere yanno.

Used.

There are hundreds of thousands of quality used firearms on the market, especially S&W and Ruger revolvers.

We're not lacking for selection.

Ammo?

Load your own.

Buy from wholesalers like Eric the Ammoman.

Patronize your local small dealer.

Go to a gunshow.

No lack of choices or opportunities.

Don't forget to add the following to Colt's list of transgressions:

1. iColt, the "smart gun" initiative.

2. DIAS blocks in AR15 receivers.

3. Transitional AR15s.

And to Ruger:

1. No concealable handguns -- hell, what law abiding citizen needs a concealable handgun?

2. Restrictions on the sale of the Ruger factory folding stock for said crappy .223 semi-auto rifle.

And you forgot to mention Remington.

Also, if you consider the small parts makers & contributors in the manufacturing of these guns, your pretty much w/o a sport :fire: , a hobby :what: and a tool of self-defense :cuss:

Glock? Dozens of companies make reliable auto pistols.

Colt? On the brink of oblivion, about 40 companies of various size make 1911s and Bushmaster makes a better AR-15 IMO.

S&W? I can make a Taurus work if I have to, or an EAA Windicator.

Ruger? I have never even wanted one. Who'd miss them?

K-Mart? Imploding.

Wal-Mart? They're only the category killer of innumerable small town businesses. Buy ammo in bulk online it isn't hard. Go to a gun show if you're really lazy.

Corporations are expendable and interchangeable. Your lost freedoms are usually forever absent a revolution or something. Sentimentality concerning the fate of traitorous business entities is a form of misplaced loyalty and faith in something that has no soul or sentiment concerning your fate.
