I need help guys.

I have owned two Glocks for years now... a Gen2 G22, and a Gen3 G29. Love 'em both and won't part with them. Of course, they just fill their own roll in the stable.

I have done the "25 cent" trigger jobs and it of course smoothed out the take up.
I have read some places that the 3.5# connector lightens trigger pull to 3.5 lbs.
Others have said that is absolutely not the case.

Can anyone clarify this for me?

Many thanks.

I've no way to measure but the 3.5lb connectors I put in my Gen 2 17 and 21 made a world of difference for me, before Glocks were the most inaccurate of my pistols in my hands. Afterwards I could shoot them almost as well as anything else. But I'd question the safety of carrying one with this connector in. YMMV.

I shoot the Gen 4 fine out of the box as the grip is reduced just enough to be a decent fit to my hand.

Thanks Wally!

Both my Glocks are SF and so good grip fit. 3 inch groups with my G22 standing @25 ft. No complaints there.

If I were to put a new connector in, it would be in the G22, which is not for carry. When i carry, it's the G29 with loads built for the environment, IE, town, woods, desert...

My main interest in a 3.5# connector test is mostly because it's an inexpensive mod to play with.

But in your experience, it DID lighten the break, yes?

The 3.5 connector will lighten the break. However, I found the lighter connectors more of a liability (inadvertent double-taps -- oops) especially in the snappier recoiling 40. I removed them all and returned to the 5.5 pounders.

Go ahead and give one a try. It's a cheap mod and the only way to find out for sure whether or not you like them.

The Lone Wolf 3.5 is a fairly safe connector that'll prevent your double tap problem. I also had that problem with a .40 Glock.

My favorite setup is the complete Zevtech/Glockworks Fulcrum trigger kit with the lightest striker spring, only with the Lone Wolf connector, not the Zevtech.

Glock claims it reduces the trigger pull weight by about 1lb compared to the standard connector. If one were to assume that the standard connector provides a pull of about 5.5lbs then the pull weight in the same pistol with the "-" connector installed would be about 4.5lbs.

I find that the 1lbs pull reduction is a reasonable characterization. It definitely reduces the trigger pull weight.

For what it's worth, in my experience, with no other modifications to the pistol, the standard connector pull weight is usually 6 to 6.5lbs and the pull weight runs about 5 to 5.5lbs with the "-" connector installed.

Many thanks guys! Looked hard and also found a vid from Glockparts.com that showed/explained the the angle of the connector and how it reduces the weight at break.

I'm going to get one to test. Will probably be 2 weeks, but will post my evalutation and thoughts afterwards!

Cheers!
