Glock interchange question

Yes it will. You will have to use the Gen 3 recoil spring assembly with the Gen 3 slide. And you will have a gap between the end of the slide and frame, but there are adapters to fill that gap in.

Because all Gen 4 and Gen 5 Glocks use a dual spring recoil assembly while the Gen 1-3 pistols use a single spring assembly.

On the left is a Gen 5 slide and on the right is a Gen 3 slide.

Okay let me ask a few questions for clarification:

  • When you say "Glock p80 19 gen 3 slide" are you talking about an aftermarket Gen 3 slide you have from a Polymer 80 build?
  • Are you using a complete Gen 3 slide with all of the internal Gen 3 parts installed?
  1. If so, it will fit as is with the gap.
  2. If you are using a stripped Gen 3 slide, then you will need to purchase Gen 3 parts. Gen 5 slide parts and Gen 3 slide parts are NOT interchangeable.
