In reading back on a Glock post (thats Closed now) there was reference to Glocks and Kool-Aid

As a Glock, Sig, S&W, Bersa, Ruger owner......What does Kool-Aid mean??

~THANK~

It means to follow with out thought just because someone told you a line. Like "Glocks are the best because they can't be seen on an Xray"

Follows the Jim Jones group in South America where they all followed him to death by drinking the Kool-aid laced with cyanide, because HE said to.

LAUGHING -----------
Thanks guys. I must get out in the world more often.

Or maybe you DONT need to get out more in the world. Perhaps it is WE who should get out more often, since we actually spend enough time on the forum to know what "drinking the glock kool-aid" means

It's a pretty common expression, actually. Refers to anyone exhibiting cult like behavior, towards anything really.

In this sense, it's a fierce and unreasonable loyalty to a particular brand or make of firearm, to the extent that no other firearms are even considered usable, let alone good.
It can apply to anything else, golf clubs, cars, role playing games, TV shows, knives, hunting gear, anything at all. It's most common when there's a lot of ads/hype present.

I have an opinion about the koolaid drinking, it came from this particular event in history that was terrible, tragic, many who stood in the wings felt it was a good event for it got rid of those who would have reproduced and continued the idiocy and mentality of such bigoted human beings.

Many folks are into this way of thinking. The Japanese were similar in the period prior to WW2 and during the event, their whole culture was consumed with it for about 700 years or so (ritual suicide).

But this is the event I think of when drinking the mixture is mentioned.

CZ = Cognac

Personally, always figured that was just an expression for water-cooler talk. Guess not.

I think Hi-Point fans must be drinking Boone's Farm/Arbor Mist!!!

How about wheel gun guys?
Perhaps .45Colt?

edit: no wait, revolver guys have good taste. .45Colt is horrendous to say the least.

Jim Jones called a meeting under the pavilion in the early evening. Before the meeting, aides prepared a metal vat with grape Flavor Aid, poisoned with Valium, chloral hydrate, and presumably (though not certainly) cyanide.

Glocks +Grape huh....

Cherry limeade for me.
