Glock, loaded chamber, HD?

Do whatever you feel comfortable with, but remember you're staking your life on this decision. And whatever you decide to do, TRAIN THAT WAY! Ingrain it into your head. If you decide to leave that chamber empty and don't practice racking the slide, you WILL forget to under stress.

Personally, if I didn't feel safe handling a gun the way it was designed I wouldn't own it.

I personally wouldn't want to leave a Glock with one in the pipe laying around "naked," I do what he does, 'cept different model:

I have a Glock 21 that I keep in my night stand for HD. I do keep one in the chamber ready to go but I then keep the pistol in am inexpensive nylon holster. This keeps the trigger covered when I'm groping I'm the dark for it, but comes off quickly and easily.

My thoughts are counter to most here. In a holster, on my person, a round is chambered. In a nightstand or glove box you have 2 safe options in my opinion. Keep it holstered with a round in the chamber, or not put a round in the chamber. In my experience it takes 2 hands either way, but for me is faster to chamber a round than get it out of the holster. I think either method is acceptable, but I choose un-chambered when on the nightstand or in a storage compartment in a vehicle.

I really like the Glock handguns. They are my first choice, but I want no part of one with a loaded chamber laying on a nightstand while I reach for it in the dark.
