I am looking for a manual safety for an early Gen II Glock 20 lower (and soon to be registered SBR lower). I don't want to start a debate but I would never want such a device on a pistol but am very uncomfortable with carrying my carbine chambered with no safety and nothing protecting my trigger from twigs or even a shirt button (long story). This goes for my stock trigger or the 3.5lb Ghost Rocket disconnecter I am currently using.
I installed a SIDERLOCK and it does not work with the striker of my carbine. The trigger either fails to rest on release or FIRES ON RELEASE! It also stacks (to barrow a bow term) near the end just before release. Even if it functioned safely, I really don't like the idea of putting my finger in the trigger gurd and touching the trigger to engage or disengage the safety.
What are my other manual safety options? I'd like something that does not change the mechanics of the trigger at all since it may work great for pistol but give unpredictable results with a carbine.
