What kind of cost are you looking at for a replacement barrel for a glock 19? *Also what kind of money could you sell a new unshot factory 19 barrel for? *What brand barrels are good but reasonably priced?

I just picked up a new g4 19 and I shoot 100% lead reloads in my other guns. The plan was to start reloading plated bullets just for the glock. *If I can "trade" for an aftermarket barrel without being out much money I may do that

New factory barrels are going for $150-175. I would keep the factory and just buy a Lonewolf, EFK, Storm Lake, etc. You will probably have a hard time selling your Glock without the original barrel.

FWIW, if you load hard-cast bullets and scrub the barrel well after use you can shoot lead bullets out of your factory barrel. Many folks do...

Thanks, I do not plan on selling my Glock (of course plans do change ;) ) I guess maybe selling my factory unfired for $135 would be reasonable. That would cover shipping the factory one out and getting the new one to me shipped.

Anyway, do the Lone Wolf ones suffer any more failures than the factory or any significant loss in accuracy?

Couldn't really tell you. I stick with jacketed bullets myself. The only aftermarket barrels I use are made by KKM in 9mm, 40SW, 10mm.

Good luck

I use both Lone Wolf and KKM barrels for my Glocks and they have been durable. With lead loads, aftermarket barrels have been more accurate than factory barrels.

I have three different lonewolf barrels for my G29 they are all top rate and as
BDS said more accurate then the original glock barrel for lead shooting, for what it's worth I've shot thousands of lead rounds from my glock barrels, they just demand careful cleaning afterwards, me I just figured get lonewolf and save some time cleaning.

Last time I was looking at barrels on ebay and gunbroker, the factory glock barrels were only bringing a little under $100. Maybe more now though.

No, they don't. Lone Wolf makes a damned good barrel, and lead cast isn't an issue.

I have a G34 and a 17L. I've fired hundreds of rounds through my factory barrels and the inside of my slide looked brand new.

I fired 50 rounds out of the stainless steel Wolf barrel and it wore off the black on the inside top of my slide. The Wolf barrel is not smooth like the Glock barrels to start with, and the Wolf engraving they put on the top of the barrel hood especially wears the finish off of the slide.

I know it doesn't hurt the Tennifer, but I don't know - like I said, hundreds of rounds through the Glock barrels and the gun was still looking like new. 50 rounds through the Wolf and the finish is worn off.

I could do without the Wolf logo where it is, and it wouldn't kill them to polish the outside of their barrels a little more.
