Last night I stripped my Glock 26 for a cleaning and cannot get it to go back together. I stupidly forgot to remove the magazine before stripping, if that makes a difference. I get the slide back to the ejector and it stops and won't move any farther. It's either hitting hte ejector or the top forward part of the trigger that pushes the firing pin nub.

I stripped my 21 to compare the two and can't see any differences. Any suggestions?

Silly question, I know, but did you take your magazine out before trying to reassemble your G26? If so, try pulling depressing the trigger slightly as you're putting the slide back on. I have NY1s in my Glocks and pulling the trigger just a little makes the slide go back on much easier.

Make sure your mag is out. That will cause a bigger problem going back on than it did coming off. Then when you reach the stoppage point wiggle the slide from side to side as you gently push is further back. Most often it gets caught on the trigger bar although the slide might be out of alignment with the ejector also. It shouldn't take much force at all. Just make sure you don' miss any rails.

I would guess that your trigger got reset during stripping. You have to depress the trigger safety manually and pull the trigger back.
