Glock sights. Why the hate?

What about the ones right over your head in the booth? ;)

The silhouettes Ive shot at indoor ranges wouldnt hit the ceiling down range with head shots.

Maybe how they are hung might make a difference, but most of the actual design indoor ranges Ive shot at I havent seen that.

Just back up and look at post #136. I posted a pic of a broken Glock rear sight .
And if you go to post #16 on page one, you will see pics of metal Glock sights.
If you want metal sights on you next Glock, have your dealer order one with metal night sights for you.
Say what you want about Glock, but as far as I know, they are in business to make money, just like these other companies. It’s all about the bottom dollar. If a company can’t make enough profit on a model of a gun they will stop Improving on it and stop making it. There have been many guns that hit the market since Glock did. Glock is still making improvement and selling basically the same guns when a lot of these others companies have discontinued models. Two of those companies is Ruger and Sig. Ruger is still trying to come up with a Model that they can run with and Sig is doing great with the P320 and P365s.
Reality, what a concept. And w/o 'voluntary recalls'.....:)

Well, Sig did have issues with the P320 triggers and the P365 strikers. But they seem to have those problems worked out.
But we’re getting off topic.
Back to the sights. Glock does ship most of their guns with polymer sights. They have figured that most buyers don’t really care as long as they work. And then there’s the other group that will just replace the sights with the type of sights they like.
The Glock polymer sights are pretty tough and hold up pretty good. And yes, they do break from time to time. Many have posted about the rear sight breaking or falling out, but I wonder how many have actually witnessed this. Myself, I have seen a few over the last seven years, but it was on evidence guns, and most were abused or had seen some rough use. But then, I have also seen damaged and broken metal sights.
So if you like Glocks, but don’t like the polymer sights, just order one with metal sights or install the sights that you like best.
Now if you don’t like Glocks, you most likely won’t be buying one so, why should you care about what sights come on the Guns.
