Glock upgrade?

Im new here and Ive been tryin to find this topic but no luck.
I have a Glock 22 in .40 and love it but I want to get into some competition with it and I also shoot a bunch and .40 prices are up there. 9mm is cheaper than 40 so I was of getting a conversion barrel for it. Is the drop in barrel the only thing I need or will I have to buy other stuff as well? Thanks in advance.

I've actually shot 9mm in my glock 19 with 40 cal mags from my glock 22 when I forgot to bring the 9mm mags. they worked fine- no issues. ymmv

Best upgrade for a Glock? That would be a Sig.

Everything on the GLOCK is already adequate IMHO. I might go for some big-dot or tru-glo sights, and change the trigger bar to the 3 lb version but that is about it.

That will be my next gun to buy. I wanted to have a good duty pistol. Plus I just got a benchrest rig in the works. But next summer I think I might get into the single stack matches.
